1. Human Rights Principles In our attempts to influence donors we need to base our advocacy on accepted standards and norms. The international human rights framework provides a set of commonly accepted principles that are essential if we are to have any success in combating poverty and achieving sustainable development. Human rights are universal, inherent, inalienable, indivisible and interdependent. These principles have been codified in international law and govern the international human rights regime. |
