3. Economic, Social And Cultural Rights The USA is currently not supportive of economic, social and economic rights as legally enforceable right. This is despite the fact that their inclusion in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights owes a debt to US President Franklin Delano Roosevelt who listed "freedom from want" in his "Four Freedoms Address". Furthermore Roosevelt advocated the adoption of an Economic Bill of Rights. |
