Economic Rights In order for these social rights to be realized, there is also a need to realize a number of "economic rights". These include the right to earn one's living in a humane and safe environment and the right to property and to not be deprived of the latter arbitrarily. In circumstances when this is not possible people have the right to assistance adequate for survival and for the enjoyment of the social rights guaranteed in the Covenant. |
