The Committee On Economic, Social And Cultural Rights

The Committee on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights is comprised of eighteen members who are internationally-known experts in the field of human rights who serve in their personal capacity and not as representatives of governments. They are elected by the UN Economic and Social Council for four year terms and are eligible for re-election. Only governments who have ratified the Covenant are entitled to nominate candidates to the Committee.
