Analysis of Anecdote || Church Teaching || Thinking About Justice |
Introduction BEAUTY OR BINGO Mrs. Wong was recently elected President of St. Millicent's Social Club. During her first month in office she organized a Bingo Party. She also invited a beautician to lecture on hair styles. Several ladies told her how much they enjoyed the Bingo Party. Another group of ladies told her they found the lecture by the beautician boring. In the following month, Mrs. Wong organized two Bingo Parties but cancelled the lecture by the beautician. |

Social Teachings of the Church "The Church leaders, as a prophetic, social conscience and moral force, should speak out on social justice or influential social events when appropriate, and provide guidance to the laity. Moreover, Catholics and Church organizations should be encouraged to express opinions related to justice according to the Church's social teachings and employ appropriate strategies to affect public opinions and social policies."
